Bespoke Planters

From the beginning, we knew we wanted to make planters, something aesthetically beautiful, architectural, but also functional. The kind of thing you could look out at and think, that's beautiful, but it's also serving a purpose.

sow-sé comes from sow, to plant, to begin, and sé, the Irish word for six, the number Peter wore on the rugby pitch for years. Six-sided shapes turn up everywhere in nature: flowers, honeycomb, fruit. It's a shape built to connect, one that could stand alone or link together, and be a thing of beauty in a garden.

These planters are a real labour of love. Finding the right people to build something this structural took time: evenings, early mornings, the odd quiet hour when rugby finished. We kept at it until we had something worth putting our name to.

Crafted from powder-coated steel, the six-sided shape means each planter works beautifully on its own, or even better, connects with others to form a grouping. They come finished in a beautiful bronze, one that shifts and catches the light differently depending on the time of day.

Available in a range of sizes, made to order, with a small number ready to ship.
